Expand coverage of nation and world

With the many changes put into effect at The Detroit News, the Daily Press & Argus will now be my only source of daily news. I am writing in the hope that you will offer much more expanded coverage of national and world events. I know local events are of importance, but are local women’s boxing matches really deserving of front-page and most of page three coverage?

Look to bankruptcy, not government

First and foremost, the government should not “bail out” any corporation. The corporations should be allowed to fail, which is what drives capitalism. Any flooding fixes must be cost-effective

It is becoming obvious that water flows in the Huron River in Hamburg Township hold the potential for continuing and chronic problems. Flooding around Ore Lake has become a rather regular concern in Livingston County. Every spring, as the snowfall melts, the warning goes up that floods may be imminent.

Gym memberships should be honored

I am surprised that the new owners of the old Family Fitness Factory in Hamburg Township will not honor the prior prepaid memberships to the gym. This action is unfair and will hurt far too many people.
