State failed in Abraham’s case

Nathaniel Abraham, convicted of murder at age 11, removed from society to be rehabilitated in a state correctional facility for young adults, educated by the best counselors, teachers, psychologists — the best our state has to offer — and our best said he was able to return to society.

Lately I have watched the horror of so many families losing all of their possessions because of the Mississippi River flooding. When this happened in 1993, I had the privilege of visiting the flooded area; It was much the same as it is now.
