Pregnancy Hotline in Genoa Township is seeking volunteers twice each month for intake, sorting, folding and stocking the baby and maternity loan closet. Nurses are also needed for 3-4 hours per week at the clinic.

Trash pickup delay in Brighton Michigan

Trash pickup delay in Brighton Michigan

The city of Brighton’s trash collection will be delayed by one day due to the new year.

Residents whose trash is picked up on Tuesdays will be picked up on Wednesday. Residents whose trash is picked up on Wednesdays will instead be picked up on Thursday.

For more information about pickups, Brighton residents should call the Brighton Department of Public Service at 810.225.8001.

Christmas tree pickup in Livingston County Michigan

The city of Brighton will pick up Christmas trees on trash collection days during the weeks of January 2 and January 9, 2006. Residents should remove all decorations and place the tree at the curb; do not put it in a plastic trash bag.
In Howell, the city will collect trees from the east side on Tuesday and the city’s west side on Wednesday.

  • Last Chance Rescue in Cohoctah is seeking assistance with transporting animals, maintaining a database, kennel chores and promotion.
  • Last Chance Rescue is looking for volunteers to transport animals to their showings. Transportation vehicle is provided when transporting animals on Saturdays, however if you can use your own vehicle that would be appreciated.
