Does Detroit area need a Light-rail transit system?
Interesting article about a $100 million dollar in federal money to design a light-rail line. I think SouthEast michigan area has needed this for a long time. As long as any government doesn’t have control of it, it should be good. If Detroit gets the control of the money, watch it squandered away. Or the political twist of using it for some other purpose. The good of the community is to create a scaleable mass transit system that is affordable to what people spend currently on driving to an from locations.
