I applaud the Daily Press & Argus editorial about the ineptness of the Howell Public Schools Board of Education’s firing of Superintendent Theodore Gardella (”Hard to imagine a more awkward way to fire super,” June 28).
Once again, this childishness underscores the proverbial “no good deed will go unpunished.”
Until this happened, I had believed that narcissism was peculiar to Washington. Diana West has written a book titled “The Death of the Grown-Up.” Sure fits this circus. Where to from here?

Completion of the sidewalk on Grand River Avenue from Latson to Nantanna has provided area residents a safe path to the area stores and restaurants. Previous walks necessitated walking against traffic on the Grand River Avenue shoulder, which was always a scary trip even during times of low traffic volumes.

Shame on the Howell Public Schools Board of Education for not resolving its issues with Superintendent Theodore Gardella through conflict resolution. Rather, it appears the board believes in the bullying tactics that we know are not allowed in the schools.

Last weekend, I spent a lot of time reading about the abrupt dismissal of Howell Public Schools Superintendent Theodore Gardella. It is a preposterous thing to me that such an act would take place.

The June 24 edition of the Daily Press & Argus ran a story about a woman who received a total of 255 days in jail for being involved in theft of $40 from Swann’s Clothing in Howell. Seems in this case the punishment fits the crime and justice has been served.
